In the submissions flow tab you will be able to create multiple submission types in order to accomodate your multi-track conference, or access different types of submissions (e.g., oral presentation paper or poster papers).
Click on "Add flow" to add a new submission type.
In the "Flow" tab, add a name for your submission flow (e.g., poster papers) as well as short description or instructions for your submitters. Set the dates during which you will be accepting submissions of this type.
In the "Submission form" tab, you are able to fully customize the submission form by using different fields.
In the "Field type" you have the following choices:
Label - Using this field you can add text for your submitters to see, such as instructions, tips or a reminder (e.g., "Make sure you submit a PDF file," or "Please note that the review process is double-blind").
Text - Add a field for your submitters to complete using text, for example the "Title" of their submission or their session. This should be used for a small amount of text.
Text area - Add a field for your submitters to complete using text, for example the "Abstract" of their submission. This can be used for a large amount of text.
Rich text - Provide your submitters the ability to enter customizable text through a rich-text editor. This can be used if you want your submitters to be able to format the text they submit.
Single select - Provide your submitters with several choices. They can select only one option (e.g., which day would you prefer to present?).
Multi select - Provide your submitters with several choices. They can select multiple choices.
Boolean - This option can be used to provide a "yes or no" option to your submitters.
Number - Add a field for your submitters to complete using a number (e.g., the number of figures included in their paper).
Thematic code - If using thematic codes, ask your submitters to choose the thematic codes that best fit their paper. You can designate a minimum and a maximum number of codes.
For Academic Conferences, we offer the use of Thematic Codes to designate expertise. Later on, these are used to automatically assign papers to reviewers (during the review process) and automatically assign papers to sessions (during the program creation).
File - Submitters are able to submit a file, e.g, a pdf.
Authors - This field will allow your submitters to add the co-authors of their paper using their email address.
Once you are done, press "Save Changes."
You can easily preview the submission form you have created! A new box entitled "Paper submission" will appear in the main page of your conference as soon as you create a submission flow.
Press "Submit," and the submission form you have created will appear.
